Resolving ClickOnce Issues with FireFox and Opera

The project I am working on for the last two years is windows smart client application which is deployed using ClickOnce. But ClickOnce has issues with all other browsers except Internet Explorer. I have decided to post what are the most common ways to resolve this issues in FireFox and Opera unfortunately I was not able to find solution for Safari web browser.

The Solutions:

1. Firefox – this one is easy: Just Download the following plugin
   

   FFClickOnce  https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1608

    

2. Opera (tested with the latest version – 9.51) Tools->Preferences->Downloads->Add

Write the following values:

MimeType: application/x-ms-application
Extension: application

Select Open With Other Application: and write: explorer.exe

Check "Pass Web Address Directly To The Application "
